so I will post.

I don't have many friends on here and everyone also has Facebook, so that is why I haven't posted in forever. (33 weeks to be exact, since the nudge email told me)

Well, first off, Happy Founders Day for Gamma Phi!

Since I really posted anything of worth, pertaining to me... Last fall I finally became a sorority alumni. I was active from Fall 2001 to Fall 2006 and was president for 2 1/2 years. I put about $3080 of dues + misc. expenses into the chapter, and was proud how I left it. I'm sure that is the record amount of dues anyone has ever paid. Needless to say, I don't feel like I should have to give any donations in the near future, but I am still giving some of my time by being the FVP advisor.

Last November Kirk and I decided we were ready to start trying to have kids. I was one semester (or so I thought) away from graduating, so I had time to finish school before any came if we started about that time. I started prenatal vitamins November 1st, but we were thinking about starting to try in January. Then December came along and we said "what the heck"! (TMI alert) I had my last period November 25th and stopped birth control at that same time. December 23rd came along and we found out I was pregnant! First try! My doctor was pretty shocked when we told her it happened withing about 1.5 weeks.

We had a wonderful 2006 Christmas, which is when we told out family. We told Kirk's family on the 24th, which is when we see them, and my family on the 25th. We thought about if we should tell them right away, but if anything were to happen, I still would have wanted some support from them.

So, back to school. My thesis year was not going so well with the professors I had. I really don't want to type out all the crap that went on here. I ended up with an incomplete (more or less) and did not graduate in May like I expected to. At that point I was 28 weeks pregnant. I had to beg and have some strings pulled for me to finish in the summer. Which also meant I had to quit my architecture job, so I could have more time. I was planning on quiting at the end of the summer anyway. I graduated July 28th, 35 weeks pregnant. I was determined to get that diploma before the baby came.

Kristen was born Sept. 6th at 4:26pm. Details of all that can be found at the following: http://www.babysites.com/sites/gal717 The short details would be, I was late, induced, and ended in an emergency c-section.

Since then, I am now a stay at home mom, and loving every minute of it! I had a speedy recovery and are now trying to lose all the extra weight to be in a wedding in May.

If I missed anything, or if you have any questions and want more details, please feel free to ask.

I think that is a good post for now. Maybe I'll update in another 33 weeks :)

I did the dishes two nights in row, cleaned the stove and microwave, cooked a good dinner 2 nights straight, and cared for my wonderful husband with a sprianed ankle that is so bad he can't walk, drive or go to work.
